Ties now optional in NZ parliament

WELLINGTON: New Zealand male MPS are no longer required to wear a tie as a rule in parliament following a protest by Maori MP Rawiri Waititi. He was ordered to leave the debating chamber on Tuesday for not wearing a tie.
