Coast Guard rescues nine stranded fishermen off Puducherry

In yet another rescue mission the Indian Coast Guard at Chennai provided succour to nine TN fishermen in distress at sea. A Chennai registered fishing boat namely ‘Rukhmani’ Regd No TN-02-MM-2449 with nine fishermen onboard was reported to be in distress about 100 km East of Puducherry coast in morning of February 3. Coast Guard Dornier aircraft on patrol which vectored ICGS Anagh to the location of the stranded fishing boat to render assistance to the boat in distress.
