IPL auction today: Filling in the blanks

With two months to go for the start of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), a total of 292 cricketers, shortlisted from a list of 1,114, will go under the hammer at this year’s IPL auction in Chennai on Thursday when all eight franchises will look to add balance or bolster their nucleus. Not all the teams sit on the same boat and some of the franchises can take it easy in this auction after retaining most of their line-ups from the 2020 IPL. Here’s a look at how the teams stand:
