was murdered allegedly by unidentified assailants in Telangana’s Peddapalli district on Wednesday, officials said. The incident happened at around 3pm in front of a fuel station at Kalvacharla village of Ramagiri block, when the couple – Gattu Vaman Rao, 53, and PV Nagamani, 50, – were on their way to Hyderabad. Ramagundam commissioner of police V Satyanarayana said the accused waylaid the couple and hacked them to death in their car. “While Rao got down from the vehicle and collapsed on the road, Nagamani collapsed in her seat. Both breathed their last while being shifted to hospital,” the SP said. A video clip of Rao, lying on the road with multiple injuries, telling the onlookers that one Kunta Srinu attacked him and his wife, has been widely shared. The SP said the advocate named Kunta Srinu, a local Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader, before dying.
