Democrat opposes Neera Tanden’s nomination

WASHINGTON: Indianamerican Neera Tanden’s nomination as US President Joe Biden’s budget czar is in peril after Democratic Senator Joe Manchin announced his opposition to her confirmation on Friday. He opposes her nomination because of the sharp language that Tanden has used while attacking Republicans over the years, often on Twitter.
