1997 (MAJOR COUNT 1): Woods, 21, won the first of 15 career Majors at the Masters, making him both the youngest and the first Black profession­al golfer to triumph at Augusta National. Two months later, he

was world No 1. 2000: Completed a career Slam by the age of 24, making him the youngest player ever to win all four golf Majors. 2001: Won his second Masters to become the first (and still the only player) to hold all four Majors simultaneo­usly—the so-called "Tiger Slam".

2008: Won his 14th Major at the US Open despite playing with damaged knee and two stress fractures of the leg. 2009: Weeks after being involved in a bizarre car accident outside his home that ballooned into a sex scandal, Woods said in December that he was taking an indefinite break from golf.

010: Made his n to pro golf with rth-place finish at asters in April. In tober, after a run of a cord 281 weeks, Woods was seated from the world No 1 anking.

2013: In March, retook world No 1 spot.

2014: A week before the Masters, Woods announced that he required back surgery, forcing him to withdraw from that year's opening Major for the first time since 1994. 2014: After 60 consecutiv­e weeks, Woods was dislodged from the world No 1 ranking, marking the last time he occupied the top spot.

2015: Two back surgeries forced him to shut down his playing schedule indefinite­ly. 2016: Played his first competitiv­e event in nearly 16 months.

2017: Missed the cut in his first event of the year and then exited an European Tour event due to back spasms. In April he had his fourth back surgery. 2019: Woods completed one of sport's great comebacks, ending an 11-year Majors drought by winning the Masters for a fifth time.
