Very hot days incoming for NW India?
The Indo-gangetic Plains (IGP) region, which includes Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, is likely to experience both hot days and warm nights during the March to May season, according to IMD’S seasonal outlook for the pre-monsoon season.
WARMER SUMMER
Over the IGP region, there is a 60% to 70% probability that maximum temperatures are likely to be 0.56°C to 0.71°C above normal while minimum temperatures are likely to be about 0.12°C above normal.
The probability forecast for minimum temperatures indicates that above-normal minimum temperatures are likely over most of the subdivisions of north India along the foothills of Himalayas, northeast India, western part of central India and, and southern parts of peninsular India.
