Very hot days incoming for NW India?

The Indo-gangetic Plains (IGP) region, which includes Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, is likely to experience both hot days and warm nights during the March to May season, according to IMD’S seasonal outlook for the pre-monsoon season.

Over the IGP region, there is a 60% to 70% probabilit­y that maximum temperatur­es are likely to be 0.56°C to 0.71°C above normal while minimum temperatur­es are likely to be about 0.12°C above normal.

The probabilit­y forecast for minimum temperatur­es indicates that above-normal minimum temperatur­es are likely over most of the subdivisio­ns of north India along the foothills of Himalayas, northeast India, western part of central India and, and southern parts of peninsular India.
