BIS issues statements on Indian Standards for Safety of Toys

BIS has come across misleading statements in the news media which are creating an impression that Indian Standards for ‘Safety of Toys’ are not available. In this context, it is clarified that the Indian Standards for Safety published by BIS are available and can be downloaded from BIS website. As per the Toys (Quality Control) Order, 2020 issued by DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Trade, GOI, all toys must conform to the Indian Standards for safety of toys and bear the BIS Standard Mark (ISI Mark).
