GUEST HOUSE STAFF ASSAULTED FOR DEMANDING SALARY, 4 HELD
GREATER NOIDA: A 26-year-old employee of a guest house was allegedly assaulted by the owners and their accomplices for demanding his salary in Greater Noida on Wednesday. Beta 2 police arrested the suspects on Thursday.
According to police, the victim, Mukesh, of Aligarh, lives in a rented accommodation with his family in Majra village. He got a job at the guest house in Sector Beta 1 six months ago at a monthly remuneration of ₹8,000. Dharmendra, Mukesh’s brother, registered a complaint stating that Mukesh had not received his salary for two months.
“Mukesh’s wife was unwell and he needed money for her treatment. When he asked the guest house owner Prince Basoya (28), and his brother Sheetal Basoya (26) to clear his dues, they accused him of stealing a smart phone and withheld his salary,” said Dharmendra in the complaint.
There was a heated exchange between Mukesh and the Basoya brothers, following which the duo called their accomplices-rajesh (25), a resident of Beta 1 and Ram (24), who hails from Nepal. All four men assaulted Mukesh. Dharmendra said Mukesh called him and informed that the owners were beating him over allegations of mobile phone theft.
“We rushed to the guest house after getting the call. We found Mukesh on the roadside on our way. Mukesh said the suspects dumped him from a car and fled the spot,” said Dharmendra in his complaint.
Rameshwar Kumar, station house officer of Beta 2 police station, said ,Mukesh was admitted to a private hospital for the back injuries he sustained in the attack. “A case has been registered against the four men under Section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the IPC. They were produced in court and sent to judicial custody,” said Kumar.
