WOMAN HIRES MAN TO SHOOT HER TO FRAME FAMILY, ARRESTED
GHAZIABAD: Indirapuram police on Thursday arrested a woman, along with two of her accomplices, for allegedly trying to frame her family in an attempt to murder case in connection with a property dispute. The police said the three hired a shooter for ₹50,000 to shoot and injure the woman.
Police registered an FIR for attempt to murder upon complaint from 42-year-old Baby Chaudhary who was shot at near Sahibabad vegetable market around 7am on September 7. The woman implicated her husband Rajiv Chaudhary and other family members who are residents of Ghookhna locality in the case.
“During investigation, it came to light that her son, Uttam Chaudhary, had lodged an FIR for attempt to murder against Baby and her friend Vijay Baisla, 45, at Nandgram police station earlier this year,” said Sanjay Pandey, SHO of Indirapuram police station.
Baby and Vijay obtained anticipatory bail in connection with that case, said police.
Police said the woman and her husband had a dispute over a house valued at about ₹1.5 crore and a shop worth ₹50 lakh that were in her name. “The woman, along with Vijay and his friend Sunil Gurjar, 30, hatched a conspiracy. It was planned that the shooter will fire at her, and Sunil will take her to hospital in order to ensure she gets early treatment. Everything went according to plan, but investigation revealed otherwise,” SHO Pandey added. When they questioned Gurjar, he allegedly confessed to the crime.the shooter, Kapil Kumar, is absconding, said police.
