FOUR HELD FOR PLAYING LOUD MUSIC IN NOIDA

NOIDA: Gautam Budh Nagar Police arrested four band members of a group on Saturday for allegedly creating nuisance by playing loud music late in the night at a private function.

The accused were playing the music around 12.30am on Saturday during an event at the Baraat Ghar in Hoshiarpur village, under Sector 49 police station limits.

“The group had come from Greater Noida. Those arrested have been identified as Anuj Kumar, Amit Kumar, Kapil Sharma and Chand – all residents of Bisrakh,” a police spokespers­on said.

Police also seized 10 sound boxes, three amplifiers, six DJ lights, a generator, a sound mixer device and a pick-up truck that were being used by the group during the function, police said.

A complaint has been lodged against them under Indian Penal Code sections 188 (disobedien­ce to order duly promulgate­d by public servant), 268 (nuisance causing annoyance to public), 291 (repeat public nuisance), among others.

According to officials, the action has been taken in accordance with the instructio­ns on checking “loud music” by the UP government.
