GREATER NOIDA: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) on Wednesday said that it has decided to issue a lease plan for around 70 industrial plots and offer possession to allottees paving way for the manufacturing of toys in Sector 33 near the Jewar airport site. The Yeida targets to encourage the manufacturing of toys with this project as operations in these units are expected to become operational within a year from being set up, officials said. “We have a target to issue a lease plan and offer possession to 70 plot owners by the end of November this year. We have already offered possession of 28 units in this project which is expected to attract an investment of around ₹1000 crore once developed to full capacity,” Arun Vir Singh, chief executive officer, Yeida, said.

Office bearers of the India Toy Association met with Singh on Tuesday and requested him to offer possession of all 100 plots in one go. “The CEO said that all 28 plot owners who got the lease plan ready and the remaining 70 will get possession of plots together. Once owners are given possession of the plots, we will sanction the map within two months and work is expected to begin in another two months. We aim to begin operations at the site after building units by end of next year if all goes according to plan,” NK Gupta, convener, Toy Association of India, said.
