NO LAPSES IN CITY POLICE PROBE, HC SAYS, JUNKS PLEA
There is nothing to show lapses on the part of Delhi Police officers investigating the Shraddha Walkar murder, the Delhi high court has said while dismissing a plea for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe in the case. Though the petition by lawyer Joshini Tuli was dismissed on November 22, the detailed order was uploaded recently. The petitioner had sought the transfer of investigation to the CBI alleging that the forensic evidence in the present case had not been preserved by the Delhi Police. A bench of chief justice Satish Chandra Sharma and justice Subramonium Prasad said that “apart from vague allegations that the investigation is not being conducted in a proper manner, there is nothing to demonstrate deficiencies in the investigation”.
