BHOPAL: A teacher of a government primary school in Madhya Pradesh has been suspended for participating in Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Barwani on November 24, an official said on Saturday.
Rajesh Kanoje, a primary teacher of Government School Kansya Falya Kunjari, has been suspended for “violating rule 5 of the Civil Services Conduct Rule 1965 by participating in a political rally”, an order issued by assistant commissioner in the state tribal department, Nilesh Raghuvanshi, said. Kanoje, however, said, “I am a social worker. I met Rahul Gandhi to discuss issues facing the tribals... I didn’t participate in any political rally. I participated in a rally being carried out on a social issue.”
