RING IN THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT
This festive season, TV stars talk about how they celebrate Christmas at home and what special wishes they have for Santa this year

“This is the first Christmas Karan (Singh Grover) and I will be celebrating after our marriage. We plan on having lunch with family, and having friends over for dinner. DIFFERENT XMAS: Two years ago I was in Argentina shooting for Zor Ka Jhatka and that was my first Christmas away from the family. It also felt very different because there was nothing Christmas-y there. Shops shut early in the evening and there was nothing I could do. UNUSUAL GIFTS: The biggest gift I ever wanted is Karan, and I finally have him.”

“This year I will be shooting for Madhubala, so we will have a celebration on the sets. Vahbiz (Dorabhjee, fiancé) will drop by for lunch. In the evening, there will be a get together at my house with friends. I will be cooking for them, but they get to choose the menu. DIFFERENT XMAS: I always spend time with my family on Christmas. Last year Vahbiz and I planned surprise gifts for each other. We will do that this year too. UNUSUAL GIFTS: Last year I actually wished for a special power that would allow me to heal people, as I was playing a vampire in Pyaar Ki Ek Kahaani. This time I would like to ask for the latest model from Harley Davidson.”

“Festivals are all about being with family. Every Christmas we bring gifts for each other and put them under the Christmas tree. We have lunch at home and for dinner, our family goes to my cousin’s or aunt’s place. I am not into receiving gifts but I ensure I give several gifts to my parents and sister.
DIFFERENT XMAS: Last year I was busy shooting for Humse Hai Life and had celebrated Christmas on the sets. It was fun to be with people I worked with, and had almost become family.
UNUSUAL GIFTS: I hated Santa as a child. I didn’t even bother waiting for him. This is actually because when I was a kid, my cousin scared me saying Santa is an evil man who kidnaps kids.”
