Aditi Rao Hydari’s professional commitments seem to have taken a toll on the actor’s health. But that hasn’t deterred her from continuing her work. Currently, Aditi is shooting for director Sudhir Mishra’s film in Lucknow — an adaptation of Devdas in which she plays Chandramukhi — and she has also started working on director Bejoy Nambiar’s film opposite Farhan Akhtar in Delhi.

It’s been a hectic work phase for me. I had a bout of viral fever, but I couldn’t let my illness affect my schedules. — Aditi Rao Hydari, actor

“Both the film’s schedules have been overlapping for some time now and she has literally been living out of a suitcase. This, coupled with her endorsement commitments, resulted in her health deteriorating. She came down with a high fever recently, and was even diagnosed with laryngitis,” says a source.

However, since changing the dates of the shooting schedules wasn’t an option, Aditi continued working as required. “She relied on natural cures coupled with some light medication. Despite the illness, she even performed at a charity event that was meant to raise funds for the victims of the Kashmir flood,” adds a source. When contacted, Aditi says, “It’s been a hectic work phase for me. I had a bout of viral fever, but I couldn’t let my illness affect my schedules as they involve other people’s time too. So I’m powering through. Hopefully, I will be better soon.”
