Alia Bhatt’s short film on women’s safety, Going Home, directed by Vikas Bahl, got a lot of attention online. It even went viral soon after, but what Alia is really overjoyed about is H’wood actor Ashton Kutcher’s praise for the video. made the effort to put our short film on the portal made me happier. I am more excited that now, more number of people will watch it, thanks to his huge reach. Apart from that, I was like, ‘Oh my God’. My feelings were, ‘Ashton Kutcher saw my face. Now he knows how I look’.

You’ve gone from being a target to jokes to now earning praise for the video. Does that make you happy?

There’s nothing to complain about. As an actor, I want to bring a smile to people’s faces. I don’t want to be a reason for anyone’s sadness. And for that smile, I am ready to be a target of jokes for the rest of my life.
