Freida Pinto’s 2011 British-Swedish-Indian film, Trishna, is finally set to release in India. However, the global star will only be able to spare a week to promote the project in the country next month. “Since she is quite busy with her other international projects, she will only be able to come to India for six days to promote the film. She is expected to reach Mumbai on Monday (November 3),” says an insider from the film’s production house in India.

Co-produced by Anurag Kashyap, Sunil Bohra and Ajay Dhama, the movie is expected to release early next year. The makers wanted the promotions to go on for longer, but since Freida doesn’t have the time, they are packing everything into those six days. “The makers had initially planned to promote the film for two months before its release,” says the insider.

Confirming the news, Dhama says that they will try and cover as much as they can in that one week. “Frieda will do as much as she can when it comes to on ground promotions. She will then return to the country (to Mumbai) just before the release of the film next year,” he says.
