Internationally, moving out of your parents’ home and living independently might be a norm, but in India, things are slightly different. Like in the rest of the country, even in Bollywood, several actors — be it Abhishek Bachchan or Sonam Kapoor — continue to live with their parents. But, now, many young stars are vying for a space of their own. The latest entrant to this group is Priyanka Chopra. Rumour has it that she is set to move out of the house where she used to live with her mother and brother. Here, we take a look at a few other celebrities, who are also ready to move out.
ALIA BHATT: Buzz about Alia’s decision to leave her parents’ home did the rounds last month. She is hunting for an apartment. Some reports even suggested that the 22-year-old will be moving in with her rumoured beau Sidharth Malhotra; apparently, she is looking for a place close to her parents’ house.
SHAHID KAPOOR: While he recently admitted that he is set to tie the knot with fiancée Mira Rajput, Shahid is also busy setting up his new house. The actor has recently moved into a sea-facing apartment in Juhu. Apparently, Mira has been helping him set up the place. The actor also posted a picture of his new home a few days back on a photo sharing site, with a caption that said, “Who wants to go out when this is the view at home (sic)”.
RANBIR KAPOOR: Last year, Ranbir made news when he moved out of his parents’ house. The 32-year-old is currently living with his alleged girlfriend Katrina Kaif in an apartment in Bandra (W). His actor-father Rishi Kapoor confirmed this news when he was quoted as saying, “My father gave me space when I moved out after my marriage, and I gave Ranbir his space too when he decided to move out and share a home with his girlfriend. In this house, he had one room; how could that be enough for a 33-year-old boy?”
