Taking the indie route
To prepare for the role of a singer, Shraddha Kapoor will head to Shillong, and observe the rock music scene there
Over the past couple of years, many Bollywood actors have been going the extra mile to prepare for their roles. From engaging in strenuous workout routines and learning new martial arts forms to picking up different skills or learning new languages, many young actors have pushed the envelope. Now, Shraddha Kapoor will travel to Shillong, Meghalaya, to prepare for her next, which is a sequel to the 2008 musical, Rock On!!. She will be seen alongside Farhan Akhtar in the film.
Shraddha will spend a few days in the north-eastern state next month to understand the indie music culture there. “She will be playing a singer in the film. And since the indie rock music of the state is booming, Shraddha thought of visiting Shillong to learn about the style of music there,” says a source close to the actor.
When contacted, Shraddha said, “There are a lot of talented artistes in Shillong and I would love to meet them. I’m sure spending time with them would be a great learning experience.”
