The Vampire Diaries lead to quit the show
Nina Dobrev, lead star of the popular TV drama, The Vampire Diaries (TVD), is set to bid farewell to the show after the sixth season.
The 26-year-old, who essayed the role of Elena Gilbert, took to Instagram to share a picture with the TVD creator and wrote, “I always knew I wanted Elena’s story to be a six-season adventure, and within those six years I got the journey of a lifetime (sic).” She also thanked her fans for their love and support.
The makers issued a statement saying that it was both bittersweet and beautiful to let Dobrev go after the closeness they had formed over six years. They would miss her and the 400 characters she played on the show.
