New Delhi felt an adrenaline rush when Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), a subsidiary of leading twowheeler manufacturer, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, launched a special edition Gixxer SF to commemorate its return to MotoGP racing in 2015.

This bike is a fully faired version of its flagship motorcycle, the Gixxer. Sporting colours such as Suzuki’s ‘Racing Blue’ (Metallic Triton Blue), Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Mirage White, the bike is priced at ` 83,889 (exshowroom, Delhi). From its futuristic-looking aluminium exhaust endcover to the new clear lens indicators, every feature gives it a sporty look. This premium-looking bike has an aerodynamic full sport fairing, which has been developed in the same wind-tunnel as the legendary Hayabusa, GSX-R and MotoGP machines. This 155 cc engine delivers maximum wind protection, great aerodynamic efficiency, better speed handling and power, without compromising on fuel economy.

Atul Gupta, executive vice president, SMIPL, said, “Young India is driving growth in the 150 cc bike category, a segment which has witnessed consistent growth. Suzuki is looking at expanding its presence and appeal among young customers with products that address their desire for style, performance and mileage. We are confident that the Gixxer SF will thrill young buyers across India, and further strengthen our market position.”
