Nitesh, Kabir set to team up with Sajid
Both of Nadiadwala’s production ventures will kick off in April next year
NITESH AND SAJID HAVE BEEN DISCUSSING THE FILM FOR SOME TIME NOW... THE FILM IS SCHEDULED TO GO ON FLOORS NEXT APRIL.
Ever since director Nitesh Tiwari helmed last year’s blockbuster, Dangal, there has been lots of speculation about his next directorial venture. But now, sources have confirmed to HT Café that Nitesh’s next film will be produced by film-maker Sajid Nadiadwala.
A source says, “Nitesh and Sajid have been discussing the film for some time now. It can now be safely confirmed that the film is scheduled to go on floors next April.” It’s believed that Nitesh will “go back to his roots” for the new film and is working on an “emotionally-driven film like Dangal”.
Apparently, the director is currently working on the script of the film. “Neither he nor Sajid are in a hurry to take the film to the floors. They are very happy with the story they have and are going to give it their best shot,” says the source.
Coincidentally, another Sajid production, to be directed by Kabir Khan, will also begin shooting around the same time. “The preproduction work of both films has already begun. Sajid is already drawing up two separate teams for the films,” says the source.
Insiders insist that both the films — to be directed by Nitesh and Kabir — are very different from each other, right from the genre to the treatment. “Sajid is leaving no stone unturned to bring in the resources required for both the projects, especially since both films will start shooting simultaneously in April,” the source says.
