Goa calling for Katrina!
Looks like all the roads lead to Goa this season for Bollywood stars. After several big names such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Sridevi, now we have learnt that Katrina Kaif will also make her presence felt at the 48th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The Dhoom:3 (2013) actor will be the special guest at the closing ceremony of IFFI.
Although Katrina is readying for the release of her new film, alongside Salman and is also shooting for Aanand L Rai’s next costarring Shah Rukh, she is “excited to attend such a prestigious film festival”.
“Katrina is also busy with her brand shoots and other professional commitments. However, she will be taking time out from her schedule to lend her support to the festival. She wants to lend her support to anything that will enhance the quality of cinema,” says the insider.
When contacted, Katrina says: “I look forward to being a part of IFFI. For me, it’s all the more special because it will be my first-ever visit. I’m happy to be part of Asia’s oldest film festival, especially since it celebrates the ‘future of cinema’ this year.”
