Clearly, shee is fin year on ‘toop’ as Sun Leone hass topped not one but two lists that chronicle ‘most searched Indian celebrities’. Firstly, she continued her reign as Yahoo India’s Most Searched Female Celebrity, which was soon followed by her being the Googloog ian entertainer in 2017. Besides esides her films and ad campaigns, what kept the buzz around Sunny alive was her and husband Daniel Weber adopting a baby girl, Nisha Kaur Weber.
If Sunny beat names such as Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone in the Yahoo list, Google’s list saw her beat names such as Arshi Khan (a contestant on a reality show), singer-dancer Sapna Choudhary, Vidya Vox (American YouTuber and singer) and Disha Patani.
“Sunny is happy that topmost search engines have declared her the most searched celebrity, especially since it’s a direct result of the love that Indians have for her. She is happy that not just big cities but people from small towns also have equal admiration for her. Not just online, she personally also experienced her fans’ hysteria when she visited places such as Patna (Bihar) and Kochi (Kerala) this year,” says an insider. In 2017, Sunny also turned entrepreneur with her perfume and clothing lines.
