If the script is good, Randhir is open to working with Karisma and Kareena

- Shreya Mukherjee

Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor essayed the character of RK Bhatia in Super Nani, which released in 2014. And since then, the actor has not signed any film.

Will the actor return to the screen? He says he is an artiste and open to working in films, but everything depends on the offer that comes his way.

“Hum kalakaar hain, agar kuch achha aayega to hum karenge (we are artistes, and if something good comes up, I will do it). A good script is essential. Whenever I get a good offer, I will consider it. I am also ready to work with (daughters) Karisma [Kapoor] and Kareena [Kapoor Khan] if something interesting comes my way,” says Kapoor.

The actor is all praise for the kind of films Bollywood is churning these days. “The kind of cinema you see today is great. They [filmmakers] are also thinking out of the box. If you see films of my times, the style and approach were different. The acting was little on the louder side, and even presentation wise there were differences. Woh zamana aur tha, woh time alag tha, woh filmein aur thi, unka bhi mazaa alag tha aur aaj kal ke filmon ka bhi alag mazaa hai (That era and time was different, films had their own charm. Today’s films have their own different charm).”

Ask him what’s keeping him busy these days, and he says, “I am repairing my studio (R.K. Films and Studios) that got burnt recently [when a fire broke]. I have suffered major losses not just financially but emotionally, too.”
