Here’s why you should not watch my film: Saif
Kaalakaandi is hitting the theatres today and it sure has piqued the interest of the audinece already with its quirky trailer and peppy songs. And the lead actor of the dark comedy, Saif Ali Khan, known for his sense of humour even in real life, has listed reasons for “Why you shouldn’t watch this film”. Saif says:
The movie, directed by debutant Akshat Verma, rates high on content but well, who likes to watch movies which requires people to use their brains (which are often left to chill at home), so let’s not even attempt to watch the film.
All content driven films are arty and meant only for a certain section of the audience. So what if Kaalakaandi has a gripping story line, some great performances by Kunaal Roy Kapur, Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raaz, Shobhita Dhupliyal and me. Different means ‘not entertaining!’
Also, just to highlight, this movie does not even have an item number, nothing to titillate the audience. So, how are we going to sit through this pure edge-ofthe-seat entertainer for two hours?
We only like family dramas and want to watch films that we can with our parents. Even though this can be enjoyed with friends, we don’t want to watch it as it is against our sanskaar.
