SONAM’S OFF TO GENEVA>>
The actor will rub shoulders with Tunisian actor Hend Sabry, and Lebanese TV personality, Raya Abirached, at an event in Geneva
Of late, a number of Bollywood stars have been hobnobbing with international celebrities, and it seems actor Sonam Kapoor is all set to increase her international equity as well. According to a source, Sonam will soon be meeting Tunisian actor Hend Sabry, Lebanese TV personality Raya Abirached and Lebanese Australian lawyer Jessica Kahawaty at a a black tie event. The function is part of a watch brand’s 150th anniversary celebrations in Geneva, Switzerland, on January 16.
The source says, “Sonam has flown to Geneva to participate in the bash. She has always been very excited to meet people from different parts of the world, as she feels it enriches her a lot as a person and an actor. Around this time last year, the watch brand had announced Sonam as their brand ambassador. Sonam had attended an event in Geneva last year too alongside other guests from across the world.”
The source added that although Sonam is “extremely busy” with the promotions of her next release, Pad Man, the actor has made time for the event. “Once she returns, Sonam will immediately get back to the promotions for her new film with Akshay Kumar,” says the source.
Upon her return, the actor will also begin shooting alongside her father Anil Kapoor for Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s next production. She will also finish working on Veere Di Wedding.
When contacted, Sonam said, “I look forward to being a part of the brand’s 150th anniversary celebration in Geneva.”
