SHRADDHA GETS A NOTICE
Makers of Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s next come up with strict guidelines to ward off evil spirits during the film’s new schedule inn Bhopal
When Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao resumed the second schedule of Stree a couple e days ago in Bhopal, Madhy Pradesh, the cast and crew were welcomed — quite literally — with a statutory warning. Apparently, when the production team was in Bhopal a few days before the shoot was to start, a few loca learnt about it and immediately approached the to give a low-down about the shooting spot.
“Locals were kind enough to tell us about the horrific stories that have taken place in the past around that particular location and the precautionary measures that they should undertake. Immediately, a formal letter — listing all the guidelines — was drafted by the makers to keep away evil spirits, and the same was placed in every room on the first day itself and everyone was requested to take it seriously,” says an insider close to the film’s unit members.
The shoot is taking place in an area where a number of supernatural incidents are believed to have taken place in the past. “Since the location itself is similar to a haunted fort, and the cast and crew have to shoot during nights, Dinoo (Dinesh Vijan; producer) does not want to take any chance,” says the insider. After Bhopal, the cast and crew will continue the shoot at Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh.
When contacted, Dinesh explains, “We wanted to get as legit as possible and so we thought, ‘why not shoot at a spot that people refer to as a haunted place?’ So a location was chosen based on a few rumours floating around. However, gradually rumours started becoming first-person accounts of inexplicable incidents.” He adds, “Now, I thank everyone in my cast and crew for being cooperative regarding the instructions that we have asked everyone to abide by.”
