I am not interested in acting, says Vikas Gupta
Television show producer Vikas Gupta has gained a lot of fame on the small screen since he participated in the reality show, Bigg Boss, last year. So much so that he has even received acting offers for TV shows, but Vikas says he isn’t very interested in acting. “I didn’t want to act, as I never thought I was good-looking. My younger brother is the handsome one in our family. Moreover, I am not interested in acting,” he says.
However, Vikas, who was also the creative producer of Gumrah: End of Innocence, isn’t averse to hosting TV shows. He hosted a chat show called Bad Company that featured celebrities from television, and will soon be hosting a Bollywood awards show as well. He says, “I will be co-hosting with Aishwarya Sakhuja for televised awards segments, which will be aired for a week. It will be fun and it also gives me a reason to visit Thailand, where the awards will be held. I love talking and feel pretty confident in front of the camera, so it should be interesting. This assignment also isn’t too much of a commitment, as I will be back in a week and can focus on other things that I am working on. These opportunities are interesting and challenging and I want to make the most of them. I want to do something different from what I have been a part of so far. I love writing, directing and creating content, but when I get a chance to get away from them, life is exciting.” Vikas is currently busy working on a series for Ekta Kapoor’s online video streaming platform, and will also be participating in the adventure reality show hosted by film-maker Rohit Shetty, which he says, will “be once-in-alifetime opportunity”.
