DISHA PATANI ON A ROLL>>
It’s a good time for Disha Patani. The success of Baaghi 2 clearly seems to have worked in favour of the MS Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016) star, with a number of brands queuing up at her doorstep alongside some big movie projects.
“The back-to-back success of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Baaghi 2 have turned Disha into one of the most exciting new faces in the ad world. Within a short span of time — after the success of Baaghi 2 — there have been as many as four brand endorsements,” says an insider.
Disha too is very excited with her projects. “I am glad that I am getting opportunities to endorse some brands that I have either grown up using or hearing so much about. And all this happening in less than two years of my career is unbelievable sometimes. I feel blessed,” says Disha.
But ad films aren’t her only focus. Disha has also been signed opposite Salman Khan in his next film, Bharat that will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar of Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and Sultan (2016) fame. The actor is currently “completely immersed” into preparations for her part of a trapeze artist.
“Nowadays, besides an actor’s popularity in general, brands also keep a close eye on one’s fan following on social media. In that space too, Disha has a following of almost 12 million in a short time span. And that’s why brands are extremely confident about her fan base and popularity among people,” adds the insider.
