Sudha Chandran enjoys being busy and working on multiple projects through the year. But she was in for a surprise when after the hit TV show, Nagin 2, she didn’t get offers for other shows. “After the show ended, I was not doing anything substantial for a long while. I was temporarily unemployed in the last one year. I was surprised that there were no offers coming my way. I’ve never had to face a dry period of being unemployed for over a year in my entire career. I don’t know why that happened. I didn’t analyse or think too much about it but when people asked me, I would ask myself, ‘what happened? why was I not working as I used to’. I had my dance shows that kept me busy,” says the actor, who is currently shooting for an ongoing show produced by Ekta Kapoor.

Glad to be back in the game, Chandran adds, “Whenever I have entered any show, I have brought a huge twist in the story. I am happy to get an author-backed role and a good opportunity in this show. Moreover, I believe jo dikhta hai, woh bikta hai.”

In the last one year, she made brief appearances in two serials and even produced few episodes for various series. She says, “I produced a web series that was interesting and now I’m producing an episodic for a channel. This is a new avenue I am pursuing and I find it exciting. Producing an episode is challenging and tiring too. I am grateful to get a chance, especially when I have no background or experience in production. Though I am an actor, being a producer is quite different. I have direction on my mind as well but that might still be a few years away. Let’s see. I feel, whatever you plan in life will never happen but then, you should accept whatever happens in life and be happy.”
