Shah Rukh Khan, Rajkumar Hirani praise Sohum Shah’s next
Sohum Shah-starrer Tumbbad is being spoken about owing to its intriguing trailer. Giving glimpses of fantasy, action, frights, and horror, Tumbbad is a thrilling rollercoaster ride that questions the roots of human greed while being entertaining at the same time. The project, which has been a six-year-long journey for Sohum, has garnered strong reactions from the audience and various B-Town personalities. From Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Sonakshi Sinha, Rajkummar Rao, Rajkumar Hirani, Vasan Bala and Ronnie Screwvala to Suresh Triveni, almost everyone has taken to social media to share their thoughts.
Shah Rukh Khan said, “Saw bits of this extremely well-crafted film. A genre we normally don’t push boundaries in. Wishing my friends the best with this venture and hope u all watch it and enjoy it. #Tumbbad the Trailer.” While Arjun Kapoor found the trailer captivating and wished luck to the team, Sonakshi Sinha said “goosebumpssss!!! This looks like a must watch... all the best @cypplOfficial and team #Tumbbad!!!” Reacting to the trailer, Tiger Shroff said, “Tumbbad is a full on big scale fantasy film which you have to experience in cinemas. The VFX looks pretty outstanding to me.” Rajkummar Rao took to his social media handle and wrote, “Phenomenal #TumbbadTrailer Congratulations @s0humshah @aanandlrai sir #PankajKumar @rahianil @ErosNow @cypplOfficial @Kanupriya222”
After watching the special screening of Tumbbad, Aanand L Rai was apparently so impressed with the plot that he decided to present the film. In one of the special screenings that was held for a few directors, Rajkumar Hirani, who saw the film said, “I have not seen a more visually stunning film in a long time. Great camera work, art, costumes. And @s0humshah you are outstanding in the film! @LittleTownFilms”.
The director of Tumhari Sulu, Suresh Triveni said, “I walked out of the screening feeling envious and full of inferiority complex. Such craft by @ BarveRahi. It’s magical. Simple storytelling with extraordinary visuals. Respect every individual stakeholder attached with the film.” Ronnie Screwvala gave a thumbs up to the movie by saying, “Tumbbad is a spectacular cinematic experience... visually stunning and emotionally thrilling. Rahi Anil Barve is a storyteller to watch out for.”
Tumbbad is an Eros International and Aanand L Rai’s presentation and Sohum Shah Films in association with Colour a Yellow Productions. Co-produced by Film I Väst and Filmgate Films, Tumbbad is set to release on October 12, 2018.
