Katrina underwent intense preparation for her next film
After Thugs Of Hindostan, Katrina Kaif will now be seen in Aanand L Rai’s next, Zero, with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. While Shah Rukh plays a vertically challenged man and Anushka plays a scientist with cerebral palsy, the buzz is that Katrina plays an actor who becomes a chronic alcoholic after her break-up.
In fact, sources reveal that Katrina’s role in Zero was so intense, that it took her over two weeks to get out of the headspace of essaying a troubled superstar. A source says, “Katrina’s first look caught everyone’s attention in which she is seen staring straight at the paparazzi and walking out, surrounded by a mob, with dishevelled hair and kohl-smudged eyes. This is the first time that she is essaying a character with many layers, and highs and lows. Aanand was keen on having only
Katrina play this part because he knew audiences have never seen her like this before.

The source further adds, “Katrina truly wanted to sink into this character of a troubled superstar.
Since the role and preparation was extremely challenging and emotionally draining, she took a while to come out of it.”
In fact, we have learnt that when Katrina was shooting for the role, she was completely focussed and avoided interactions with people and other distractions.
