Having tasted success with Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan (KYY) on a youth channel, Parth Samthaan is currently enjoying the fruits of his labour in his new ongoing TV drama. The reboot of Kasautii Zindagii Kay, where Parth is playing the lead, has found favour with the audiences and he couldn’t be happier. He says, “It feels good when your work is appreciated. When we started promoting the show in August, people had a lot of expectations, as the earlier show had become a brand. So, it was tough for everyone on the show to live up to the expectations. Thankfully, the reboot is a hit, and people are loving the characters and the story. However, there were many who have seen me play a stylish dude on KYY, and didn’t like me in the sober and simple look in my current show. New audiences, who discovered me in the show, have loved me as I am. I am getting a lot of love from new and old audiences.”

With fans from his previous show and new audiences from the latest one, Parth says he is feeling “almost like a newcomer”. He says, “I don’t have mature audiences, who are admiring me. It is a bigger deal for me as while the teenagers already knew me, a huge section of the mainstream audience didn’t know of me. To make a mark with them has been a challenge and I am glad that they have accepted me.”
