After getting rave reviews for playing a short-but-impactful role of a homosexual in Zoya Akhtar’s recent web series, Vikrant Massey has now started working on his next, Chappak, alongside Deepika Padukone. Not many know that besides being an actor, education is one field where his interests lies, too. Apparently, he has also been helping in funding education of children in his vicinity. A source says, “He has been providing financial aid to many children, who are studying in the school from where he passed out. One of the reasons is that he understands the value of education as he had to once leave his exams midway due to financial issues. Hence, he strongly advocates the right to child education.”

Vikrant says, “Education is a sector where I would like to devote more time. In the future, I hope I can set up a school someday, which would require a lot of monetary investment and contacts, which I may not have enough now. I remember mera uniform udhar aata tha, mera bag meri cousin deti thi, and I would be the last to get my books. So, I haven’t forgotten these things. I have been working from the age of 14. I value and understand the importance of money. In fact, all of us school friends are still in touch. They are proud of me. Some of my friends are in Canada and US but we all come from modest backgrounds. And they are all also doing so well from themselves but no one has any jhijhak and are very proud of everything. I feel no one should be denied the right to education.”
