Punjabi remake of Singham is all set to woo the audience

-

All eyes are on the official Punjabi remake of the hit Hindi film, Singham (2011). Three Bollywood studios — T-Series, Ajay Devgn Ffilms and Panorama Studios — are together producing this version of the popular franchise. The Hindi original starred Ajay Devgn in the lead role. The trailer and songs of its Punjabi remake have already become popular.

Producer Bhushan Kumar says, “Only a few years ago, T-Series started producing Punjabi films while

continuing to make Punjabi music. The reach of Punjabi films has grown across the globe; we are keen on creating more regional language cinema, to tell more stories. I am confident, like the original version, Singham in Punjabi will be loved by all.”

Devgn, who has ventured into Punjabi films with this movie, says, “Regional cinema has managed to preserve its culture and roots. Singham is a great product and I’m confident that audiences will give it all their love.”

Singham, starring Parmish Verma, Sonam Bajwa and Kartar Cheema is a story of bravery, and one man’s efforts to establish law and order in a land of lawlessness.

Panorama Studios has been associated with regional cinema in the past. However, this is its first release in Punjabi. Kumar Mangat, chairman, Panorama Studios International, says, “We have blended the essence of the original franchise with the local flavour. With Parmish and Sonam in the lead, we are confident the film will attract people in the region and the Punjabi diaspora overseas.”

Gulshan Kumar, T-series and Ajay Devgn present Singham (Punjabi), a Panorama Studios production, directed by Navaniat Singh. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak and co-produced by Ashu Munish Sahni, Sanjeev Joshi and Vinod Bhanushali. Distributed by Panorama Studios International and Omjee Star Studios, the movie releases worldwide on August 9.
