Shriya’s birthday surpise for Supriya
Actor Shriya Pilgaonkar, who garnered immense love for her role in one of the most popular web series Mirzapur, has planned perfect birthday celebrations for her mother, actor Supriya Pilgaonkar’s birthday on August 16. The motherdaughter duo have taken off to Turkey on a short break to explore the country.
A source close to the actor says, “Shriya is currently exploring Turkey with her mother, where they have kick-started their week-long celebration. It has been a while since they went on a vacation and she wanted to make sure that she has everything planned, especially for her mom, to make it one of the best birthdays.”
Talking about the same, Shriya says “Last year I was shooting in London on mum’s birthday, so this time I wanted to surprise her with a trip to Turkey — a place we both have been wanting to visit. Dad (Sachin Pilgaonkar) is shooting, so, sadly, he won’t be joining us.”
Shriya has been planning this trip for quite sometime to ensure that she and her mother have a great vacation. In fact, Shriya adds that her mother is one of her favourite people to travel with since they share similar interests. “I love travelling with mum. We make great travel buddies because we are very adventurous. Since we had time for just a short holiday, we’re exploring Istanbul and Cappadocia. Istanbul is culturally diverse and has a rich history, and it has always fascinated the both of us. The landscape in Cappadocia is amazing, unlike any other. I have planned a hot air balloon ride that I’m super excited about,” she says talking about their travel plans.
Shriya has been preoccupied with her work commitments all of last year and this time, she wanted to take this break to catch up on some quality time with her mother. “In Mumbai, work is always hectic so these trips together mean so much to us because we hang out like friends. Mom has left the planning of the whole trip up to me and everyday there is a new surprise in store for her,” says the actor, who is best known for her work in Fan (2016), and was recently seen in a British drama series — Beecham House.
