I don’t really have a diet plan: Ridhima
I workout at home but I am terrible when it comes to self- motivation. And I wish, I could change that about myself.

Which is the one breakfast food that you must have?
Idli or poha. I have been having idlis since I was a kid. I like them served hot. They are my ideal breakfast.
One fattening food item that you just can’t resist?
Pani puri. I can actually have them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well.
How do you get back in shape post a fattening indulgence?
I just go back to home-cooked food. If I have had too much of outside food or red meat, I try to have food which is mainly cooked at home.
Do you prefer mini meals? What do they normally contain?
Yes, I definitely prefer mini meals and I have to eat in every two hours. Otherwise, I get very hangry, which is hungry and angry together. My mood totally depends upon my food intake. And my mini meals come from my household, which is a mix of Maharashtrian and Gujarati cuisine. My mother makes these amazing methi theplas. That becomes my mini meal. I have it by 4pm after my lunch, if at all I get hungry. My lunch is not very heavy as I have the basic dal, roti, sabzi. Or else I have poha or a thalipeeth, which is the Maharashtrian side of my meal.
A diet plan that always works for you? Well, I don’t really have a diet plan. I just basically ensure that I eat in moderation and eat healthy. By God’s grace, I have never had to diet. The only diet I followed was when I was preparing for Khatron Ke Khiladi. I had to focus on my protein intake a lot.
Do you workout at home? What are the exercises you follow?
Yes, I work out at home but I am terrible when it comes to motivating myself. And I wish, I could change that about myself. I have all the equipment at home if I want to workout. I have the yoga mat, resistance bands, dumbbells, and weights. But I am too lazy to do that. And I follow all these home exercise videos to strengthen my core because when you are busy working, the only place I end up gaining weight is my stomach. So, to keep that in check, I prefer home exercises.
Do you prefer outdoor or indoor physical activity?
Definitely, indoor. I have tried doing the outdoor activities like running and kick-boxing in the open but the heat just gets to me. I do believe you get better results, if you do outdoor fitness activities, because everything doubles up. The body is more heated up but I prefer indoor still. I don’t like to go crazy sweating it out but the feeling of outdoor activity is much better.
A health tip that you rely on.
A health tip that I rely on is to always have food that your grandmother knows of. While we go crazy about these fads and the new foods that have come like the quinoa, red rice and we avoid having rice. I don’t see any point in it. I eat everything. I have been having roti, rice, sabzi and dal since I was a kid. That has been my basic meal for years and I refuse to exchange that for a something that will only provide me with 200gms of protein.
