Adah Sharma, who has movies such as 1920 (2008), Hasee Toh Phasee (2014) and Commando 2 (2017) to her credit, will next be seen in Naman Nitin Mukesh’s directorial debut titled Bypass Road. The film also stars, Neil Nitin Mukesh, who is also the producer and writer of the movie. Speaking about the flick, Adah says, “I think, it is rarely that good thrillers are made. The last good thriller was Andhadhun (2018). I have been a part of thrillers before, and I think, if it is made well and has a good twist to it, then a thriller would work. And in this movie, you won’t be able to guess who the killer is. So, I have a good feeling about it.”

About her experience working with Neil and Naman, she says, “There was too much talent on set,” she laughs, adding, “Apart from being jealous of Neil’s complexion, I was also jealous of his talents. He can paint a whole sketch in a minute. Everyone knows how talented he is as an actor, and he also sings. And with Naman, he was clear about what he wanted. He knew what kind of film he was making and he knew what he wanted from the characters. It was fun to work with Neil and Naman as a team.”

Ask her if she was nervous about being typecast in the industry, and she says, “I was, after my debut movie, 1920. I was a little skeptical about doing too many horror movies immediately, although I love the genre. I didn’t want to be typecast as someone who features in many horror movies. But now, I am not nervous. I have done films across genres and in different languages. I am not someone who can be typecast into anything. I always try to look different or act different.”
