Excited onlookers disrupt Emraan Hashmi’s shoot in Chattarpur farms. “I was overwhelmed to see them, but it was a scary situation,” says the actor.

Emraan Hashmi is shooting in Delhi for his next, Chehre, for the last two weeks. But a recent shoot at Chattarpur farms took a turn for the worse. Earlier this week, when people in the vicinity learnt that he was shooting in the area, they landed up on the set. “Most were his fans and there were a few curious onlookers, too, who entered the shooting premises and refused to budge till they got a chance to meet Emraan. As there were more than a handful people and it was getting crowded by the minute, the production team had to call the Delhi Police. They, then stalled the shooting and called for extra security. The crowd didn’t disperse, and created a rucku when they were informed tha they would have to leave. The shoot couldn’t proceed, and Emraan was sent back to the hotel,” says a source.

Emraan was shooting for his solo shots with the director and some crew members. They thought they wouldn’t need security but then they had to beef it up. Talking about the incident, Emraan says, “We were shooting an intense scene and there were people, who suddenly gathered from the nearby area. I was overwhelmed to see them but it was a scary situation as the shoot had to be stalled because the crowd was a bit of out of control. The crew had to call the police and I was asked to leave the set to avoid an unwanted situation.”
