Uplifting the gastronomi­cal history of the North, the refurbishe­d Punjab Grill outlet at Palladium, Lower Parel, is introducin­g its patrons to a modern twist on the classic Punjabi cuisine. The new menu has also introduced a special Shikaar menu, offering a different meat every day. Though the tradition of the game hunt — a royal pastime of Maharajas has fast faded, customers at Punjab Grill can delve into scrumptiou­s shikaar of the day at the restaurant, served with special Gobindo Bhog rice, which enhances the flavour of the meat.

Some of the other dishes that one can experience include the Hara Chicken Tikka — a recipe from the scenic Himalayas, Tamatar Chaat — organic tomato and mash potato, Paneer Cigar Roll — sliced paneer roll in tomato thokku, Sigdi Kukkad — half bird chicken with moth masala and cucumber pachadi, and more.

One can also try the unique Old Monk-Mutton Boti — Old Monk marinated tawa lamb boti with black pepper glaze, Sev Puri with the twist of guacamole,

— red snapper fish fillet with cabbage foogath and kokum curry.

Rohit Aggarwal, director, Lite Bite Foods, says, “The newly-curated menu takes you to a culinary jaunt exploring flavours of Punjabi, Pathan, Hindu and Sikh cuisines. Our chefs have worked very hard to bring innovative flavours on the table and we hope our guests will leave feeling mesmerised with the meticulous­ly crafted dishes, giving them a one-of-akind experience.”

story through an authentic ambience and mouthwater­ing traditiona­l cuisine with a modernised twist. We hope it gives every diner a glimpse into the culture of North Indian cuisine. The revamped outlet reflects an imperial vibe with a curl of contempora­ry seating, making it look effortless­ly chic and welcoming.”

He further adds, “The interiors with the traditiona­l phulkari motifs adorning the walls along with photo collages of erstwhile Punjab, complement­s the cuisine and offers an insightful glimpse into the region’s culture. The arched bay windows and open kitchen adds to the grandeur and experience.”
