Christmas is all about family for Maanvi

- Titas Chowdhury

Maanvi Gagroo is looking forward to a chilly Christmas time in Delhi, the place where she grew up. The actor says that it is going to be all about spending some quality time with her family during the festival. “I’m going to meet my niece, my nephew, my sister and her family after a really long time. They enjoy Christmas as much as I do. I’m planning to take them to a Christmas party. I’ll show them around the city and give them a glimpse of the festivities and the decked up Christmas trees in the city,” she shares.

Maanvi adds, “I’ll also be putting out a stocking to put gifts inside them. I’m looking forward to making more memories and clicking more pictures for my social media (laughs).”

Revealing her “fondest Christmas memory”, she says, “Even after finding out that Santa Claus isn’t real, I still put up a stocking every year because it has always been a ritual and it made Christmas very special. I used to do it to get a feeling of Santa and everything that he stands for. The first thing that I would do on a Christmas morning was go and check if I got the gift that I asked him.”

For the Ujda Chaman actor, the festival is also about relishing her favourite beverages. “What I love about cold Christmases is a cup of hot chocolate and some nice pumpkin spice latte,” she says excitedly.

Maanvi, who’ll next be seen in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, says that Christmas has always been a special event for her. “I used to spend it in Delhi. It used to be cold and we would go visit the shopping malls. The streets used to be decorated so beautifully,” she reminisces.

She continues, “An aunt of mine would celebrate the festival and we would go to her place for rum cakes and all the other goodies. We would dress up in red and white colours. In school, we used to have Christmas parties. Christmas is a holiday period and I still

look forward to it.”
