AMAAL MALLIK

Musically, I was happy with the work I did. With Kabir Singh’s album, I think we all proved that original music can still stand tall and deliver what the audience wants. And it has given a tough challenge to the trend of remixes. Kabir Singh was a path-breaking album for all of us. Following a particular tune has become boring for the audience because there is so much content and everything sounds the same. I think more such albums and music will change the face of our industry. With remixes, it’s just the volume that bothers me and a lot of other people. The audience feels that we are unable to make originals. Remixes work if made well but how many and for how long? I think we need a good balance between originals and remixes.
