2019 gave independent music a big boost. Be it B Praak’s Filhall or even my Hawa Banke, the audiences lapped it up and showered so much love to the songs. I believe romance and romantic tracks are the flavour of the season, in film and non-film music, and Kabir Singh’s hit soundtrack is testament to that. I hope this trend continues, and independent music capitalises on the momentum it has gained. With newer platforms, fresh talent, and great music, it’s easily achievable.
