This year saw a rise in fashion collaborations. From luxury brands and design houses joining hands with international and Indian brands including Sabyasachi x Christian Louboutin, to fashion designers collaborating with offbeat brands such as Shivan & Narresh x Heads Up for Tails and Anushka Sharma’s label Nush x Chacha Chaudhary, among others, the fashion industry welcomed creative collaborations with open rms and set the
all rolling for more innovative ideas. “It is essential for every brand to be disruptive, break the pattern constantly and move out of their comfort zones,” says Shivan Bhatiya, head designer, Shivan & Narresh, adding, “This year, we collaborated with Heads Up For Tails, where we brought to reality the dream that we always had, as pet parents, to design a pet wear collection.”
According to Narresh Kukreja, creative director, Shivan & Narresh, the unmatched blend of fashion and art being adapted by various design houses is something that caught their eye. For instance, Dior x Hajime Sorayama, where they released a capsule collection in collaboration ith the Japanese ntemporary artist, or ella McCartney x The eatles, where the scenes nd graphic features from he movie Yellow ubmarine were featured cross a distinct line of eces. “Such llaborations, where sign houses llaborate with different art orms bring together two creative worlds,” adds Kukreja.
