This Valentine’s Day, fall in love with Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal
It’s been a while since a trueblue love story made its mark in Bollywood and Love Aaj Kal fills this space, with Imtiaz Ali’s interpretation of love and complexities around relationships in modern times. Adding to this, Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan’s chemistry has built anticipation and excitement among the audience to catch their on-screen romance.
In Love Aaj Kal, Imtiaz presents a contemporary and relatable portrayal of two stories — one set in Udaipur in the early ’90s and the other in modern-day Delhi. The story shows how they interact to learn from each other the different facets of love, commitment and relationships. The film stars the much talked about pair, Sara and Kartik, who have won hearts with their chemistry. The film also features Randeep Hooda and debutante Arushi Sharma in key roles.
The movie also reunites Imtiaz with music composer Pritam and lyricist Irshad Kamil for the soundtracks. Each song from the film tugs at the heart differently and connects with the audience.
While Shayad captures the innocence of first love, Haan Main Galat is a quirky party song about doing what the heart feels is right, and Mehrama is about loneliness. Each song from the film has become a chartbuster.
