Love is a necessary luxury: Sobhita

- Titas Chowdhury

Sobhita Dhulipala, who shot to fame with Made In Heaven, has become a subject of affection and attention for the web-series watching young audience. On Valentine’s Day, the actor says that romantic love is more like “a necessary luxury” for her. Influenced by love stories written in books, Sobhita says that her perception about love has become a lot more practical now. “My opinion of love is a lot more grounded now I think. I can be erratic at times and so, finding a steady sustenance of friendship, mutual respect and care, is of utmost value now,” she says.

A self-confessed romantic at heart, the Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016) actor says that love stories have been an essential part of her life. “Through the years, I have thoroughly enjoyed books that celebrate love and its many doings. I indulge in poetry often. Moreover, I read and write them as well,” shares Sobhita. Going back to her teenage days, she says that she often pondered on the idealism of love. “I used to think of love as something driven by curiosity and a rebellion against settling for what is prechosen,” she shares.

For her, Valentine’s Day, back in school, was spent watching seniors in love. Sobhita says, “My earliest memory of Valentine’s Day was watching my seniors in school walk the grounds holding hands or tying wrist bands. It was so thrilling to see.” Ask her about plans for V-Day and the Bard of Blood actor says, “I’m most likely to be shooting today and I’m quite happy about it! Art is my eternal valentine.”
