NUPUR SANON’S SWEET GESTURE FOR HER FANS
One of the most popular songs of 2019 was Filhall, starring Akshay Kumar and Nupur Sanon. The song is sung by B Praak and written by Jaani. The track has now garnered more than 650 million views on YouTube, and the success of the music video has prompted its makers to announce a sequel this year.
The five-minute long video highlighted a mix of emotions. Sanon stood out in the video and it never felt like it was her on-screen debut. The song’s sequel will once again bring back the pair of Kumar and Sanon and will try and touch new chords of emotions.
Sanon is also a trained classical singer and since Filhall’s release, she has built a very loyal fan base. Her fans have been demanding she sing the female version of Filhall, and as a token of gratitude and love, she sang the unplugged version, which is set to release today.
Sharing her experience, Sanon says, “Acting is definitely my new-found love but singing has always been my passion. Post Filhall’s release, I was bombarded with DMs (direct messages on social media) and tweets to sing a female version. The audience gave me so much love and warmth for my first [video] that I couldn’t resist thanking them with this unplugged version in my voice. And it was surreal for me to do a cover of my own song.”
Actors today are not restricted. Besides their acting skills, they often get the opportunity to explore and bring out their hidden talents. Previously, we have seen actors like Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra trying their hand at singing. Now, Sanon is the newest addition to the list.
