Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma set to marry on April 15!
They got engaged in a grand function in 2017 and had hoped to get married in 2019 but after the year ended, actors Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma realised they would have to lock a date sooner than later. After the engagement, the couple wanted to “settle down” before getting married. “We were focused on our careers. We wanted to save some money before we took the plunge. But as time went by, we both realised that working on our careers is an on-going process and we should focus on what is right in front of us. We decided to be practical. Our cut off year was 2019 but once it passed, we decided not to wait anymore. Yes, it was a sudden decision. Initially, we thought we would marry in June 2020 but recently Puja signed on a daily soap so it seemed best for everyone to prepone the wedding. We have now decided to marry on April 15,” says the groom.
Currently, preparations are in full swing for the upcoming nuptials. Verma adds, “We are both really happy that finally we are getting married. Though, there were times when I thought that chal raha hai toh chalne do. But more than me, people around me are happier (laughs). Our parents are busy shopping. All the functions will be in Mumbai and as we decided the date just a few days ago, most of the appropriate venues are booked. So, we are working on fixing venues. We will get married in the temple in Filmcity, if need be ( laughs).”
